Simone Kirby has her own Wikipedia entry if you don’t mind. But that’s just facts; this is the real Simone. Read on, my friends.

Have you taken part in THE 24 HOUR PLAYS before?
My first time taking part in THE 24 HOUR PLAYS
What is the most memorable dramatic experience you have had, and why?
Probably working on Jimmys Hall with Ken Loach. That takes some beating. His way of working is very unique and all geared toward the performances. Probably working on Jimmys Hall with Ken Loach. That takes some beating. His way of working is very unique and all geared toward the performances.
When did you first know you wanted to be involved in the performing arts?
From when I used to sing in pubs as a kid. We went to drag hunts every Sunday. (Only a few culchies will understand this) and afterwards there was usually a band playing, and people dancing and singing. I grew up around the noble call tradition, and people singing folk songs in pubs.
Who (living or dead) would you most like to work with?
The list is long! It’s too long. But also; I like when I’m surprised by people. So I’ll keep it open.
Tell us a little about your next big project.
I’ve just finished a couple of things. Alice In Wonderland: Through The Looking Glass is out next year, and ‘Clean Break’ (working title) by Billy Roche will be on RTE, well, whenever they put it on…?
What are you anticipating the most about THE 24 HOUR PLAYS?
I’m looking forward to the buzz. Everyone will be on the same page, all chaos and nerves.
