The first actor to feel our inquisitive stare is Kate Stanley Brennan. Or Miss Kate if you prefer. An accomplished actor, of course, but Kate also has an impressive music career. Check out one of her videos below and find out more on her website.

Introduce yourself please. You can even describe yourself as if you are being introduced as a guest facilitator at a DYT workshop.
An Actor/ James Brown Wannabe from Dublin
Have you participated in The 24 Hour Plays in aid of Dublin Youth Theatre before? If yes what is your fondest/ most nightmare causing memories? If no what are you looking forward to/ terrified of?
No! Looking forward to the challenge. Terrified of having to get up before 8am.
If you could give your teenage self a piece of advice what would it be?
Don’t compare yourself to others, follow your own path and …oh yeah- John Player Blue in the bra strap is not a good look.
What theatrical experience has had the biggest impact on you?
Emm….Doing a school production of the Crucible when I was 16 cemented my desire to become an actor – so I guess that was pretty impactful!
Describe the craziest costume you have ever worn. I had to wear a waistcoat on stage once. I’m still scarred.
A nun’s habit- I walked onstage and I heard all my friends in the audience burst into fits of laughter- I don’t know what they found so funny 😉
Don’t miss Kate’s contribution to The 24 Hour Plays in aid of Dublin supported by BNP Paribas. Book your ticket now and see you on January 31 in the Abbey Theatre.
