Luke Griffin, #24HrDub actor, looking forward to living the nightmare.

Luke Griffin, one of our actors in The 24 Hour Plays in aid of Dublin Youth Theatre supported by BNP Paribas Real Estate, responded to our questions in a series of tweets and snaps. Or maybe they are haikus. Either way, it suits me just fine. Four days before Christmas with no mince pies made, I’m happy with less to edit!

Introduce yourself please. You can even describe yourself as your granny would.

I’m Luke Griffin. I’m from Kells, Co. Meath.

Have you participated in The 24 Hour Plays in aid of Dublin Youth Theatre before? If yes what is your fondest/ most nightmare causing memories? If no what are you looking forward to/ terrified of?

This is my first time. I think.
Like a lot of actors..
I have a recurring nightmare of having to go on stage with little or no rehearsal.
This will be living this nightmare.
Can’t wait

When you think back to yourself as a teenager what change in yourself has been most surprising to you as an adult?

I can’t remember my teenage years.
Which is surprising.

If you could change one thing about theatre in Ireland what would it be? Woah! #Deep

Better funding.

Period Drama or Sci-fi? Why?

Jesus. Eh…. depends. Sci-fi. Period sci-fi.

Come see how things work out for Luke at The 24 Hour Plays in aid of Dublin Youth Theatre supported by BNP Paribas Real Estate. Tickets available online or call Abbey Theatre Box Office on  (01) 87 87 222.
