We love it when folks come back to take part in The 24 Hours Plays in aid of Dublin Youth Theatre supported by BNP Paribas Real Estate. It means that which didn't kill them made them stronger. Not only is the bould Aoibheann McCaul back for more, she also volunteered behind the scenes on the production team last year and at the last minute too. What a super trooper.   • Susan Bracken, actor, 2018

    Susan Bracken joins the #24HrDub team as an actor. She trained in the US and worked for several years in London.  She made her Dublin debut in Jan ’16 playing Tekla in Strindberg’s Creditors with Ronan Leahy, directed by Aoife Spillane-Hinks (a #24HrdDub alumni!), followed by Paul Kennedy’s The Best Place for Love, and Goneril to (another #24HrDub family member!) Jonathan White’s King Lear at the O’Reilly Theatre earlier this year. Favourite London roles include; Liz in the London premiere of Mark O’Rowe’s From Both Hips (Old Red Lion Theatre), TimeOut Critic’s Choice for Allan Swift’s Bodyclock (White Bear Theatre) and Elena in Chekhov’s The Bear (King’s Head Theatre).   • One of our writers this year, Sam Atwell is an Aussie living in Ireland for the craic and the weather, Sam predominantly works in television and is the Series Consultant for Fair City. He cut his television teeth on Home and Away as an actor, director, editor and writer. He has written and directed for theatre and enjoyed four Sydney seasons of his play, Bondi Dreaming, which was inspired by the Bali Nine. He’s gobsmacked by the talent and passion of Irish theatre and had the thrill of writing a short play for Under My Bed.   • Aidan Crowe, actor, 2018

    Aidan Crowe, one of our 2018 cast memebers,  is also a long time member of the #24HrDub family having been our production manager for 5 years. We missed him very much last year while he was on tour. Aidan began acting at the age of 12 with Spotlight Stage School and after completing the two year programme with Limerick Youth Theatre, he moved to Wales where he studied Drama and Theatre Studies at The University Of Wales, Aberystwyth. His most recent stage credits are: The Bockety World of Henry and Bucket US Tour(Barnstorm Theatre Company), 1916 Beyond Barricades (Anú Productions), Me Too! ( Barnstorm Theatre Company), The Lighthouse Keeper (Amalgamotion Theatre Company) King Lear (The Abbey).   • Maria Doyle Kennedy, Musical Guest, 2018

    We're SO excited to reveal the musical guest for The 24 Hour Plays in aid of Dublin Youth Theatre supported by BNP Paribas Real Estate this year. We are delighted to announce that Maria Doyle Kennedy will be performing live on stage accompanied on guitar by Kieran Kennedy. Straight from a national tour, Maria is an acclaimed singer and actor, who has spent the past five years gigging constantly, and filming cult TV show Orphan Black. Her new self-titled album was released in September 2017. Our musical guests over the past six years have included Lisa Hannigan, Camille O'Sullivan, Jerry Fish, The Evertides with Adam Matthews, and Rhob Cunningham. We're delighted to bring Maria Doyle Kennedy into the #24HrDub family!
