  • Maria Doyle Kennedy, Musical Guest, 2018

    We're SO excited to reveal the musical guest for The 24 Hour Plays in aid of Dublin Youth Theatre supported by BNP Paribas Real Estate this year. We are delighted to announce that Maria Doyle Kennedy will be performing live on stage accompanied on guitar by Kieran Kennedy. Straight from a national tour, Maria is an acclaimed singer and actor, who has spent the past five years gigging constantly, and filming cult TV show Orphan Black. Her new self-titled album was released in September 2017. Our musical guests over the past six years have included Lisa Hannigan, Camille O'Sullivan, Jerry Fish, The Evertides with Adam Matthews, and Rhob Cunningham. We're delighted to bring Maria Doyle Kennedy into the #24HrDub family!

  • Five days ago we announced that the fabulous Jerry Fish would be the musical guest at The 24 Hour Plays in aid of Dublin Youth Theatre at the Abbey Theatre on February 1 2015. Then we sold out. Coinkydink? Or was it that the long cold winter bank account discontent was finally over? Well that and all the great media work that our actors, producers and writers have been doing over the last month or so.   • As our musical interlude in 2014 Camille O'Sullivan, a former DYT member herself, wowed the audience with a rendition of the Ship Song among others. Although we have announced the creative team for 1st February 2015 the musical interlude is always a closely guarded secret. An added surprise and bonus for all you generous people!
